The FUSION-EP master programme has been selected in the list of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) funded by the European Union. From the academic year starting in Sept. 2020, fifteen scholarships (including the participation fees and a monthly allowance) will be awarded to the applicants with the highest profile. Among these scholarships, about twelve will be awarded to applicants from Partner Countries. The FUSION-EP program, created in 2006, aims at training the next generations of magnetic confinement fusion physicists and engineers. Since the academic year 2019/2020, FUSION-EP shifted the coordination from the University of Gent to Aix-Marseille University in order to put forward new objectives. The FUSION-EP program is organized in two periods of increasing specialization in two different countries until the 3rd semester's distinct track possibilities: Fusion Sciences and Fusion Technology. A very comprehensive insight into the cutting-edge R&D in nuclear fusion is guaranteed by the broad range of expertise available in the Consortium. -

The EMerald Master programme was created to answer the urgent need expressed by the European Union to create a resource efficient Europe. As the EU recognised the importance of mineral and metal resources in our modern economy, it also realised that the raw materials industries were facing a critical skills shortage. The EMerald Master programme aims to train a new generation of engineers with an entrepreneurial mindset and a global vision of the value chain, putting the extraction of mineral and metal resources at the beginning of a circle which ends by collecting end-of-life products and recovering valuable materials out of the urban mines (circular economy). -

In addition to being a science in its own right, mathematics plays a fundamental role in the quantitative areas of practically all other academic disciplines, particularly in the natural sciences, engineering, business administration, economics, medicine, and psychology. Mathematical results permeate nearly all facets of life and are a necessary prerequisite for the vast majority of modern technologies – and as our IT systems become increasingly powerful, we are able to mathematically handle enormous amounts of data and solve ever more complex problems. -
