Introduction
The European University Institute’s Master of Research in Economics offers a foundational year of economics where you will gain a clear understanding of core and modern economics and a chance to engage with a range of economic issues facing Europe today. The program offers an immersion into a scholarly environment with the chance to interact with and learn from leading professors and advanced doctoral researchers. Curriculum
The 1-year Master of Research in Economics will be composed of seven compulsory courses and four advanced courses. Each course will have 20 hours of formal teaching plus 8 hours of teaching assistantship. The year will be divided into four blocks. All courses will take place in the first three blocks. The fourth block will include thesis work.
