Top Master's Programs in Professional Studies in Europe 2019
Master-level studies involve specialized study in a field of research or an area of professional practice. Earning a master’s degree demonstrates a higher level of mastery of the subject.
Earning a master’s degree can take anywhere from a year to three or four years. Before you can graduate, you usually must write and defend a thesis, a long paper that is the culmination of your specialized research.
The term “professional studies” is used to refer to academic programs that are designed to provide as much preparation as possible for the workplace. Students may learn about a specific industry or general professional concepts, as well as important career skills.

Across The Pond partners with some of the top UK universities for Natural Sciences, across a variety of disciplines. The UK has long been a major contributor to the innovation of energy, including biology, chemistry, earth sciences, oceanography and physics, and students who study in the UK benefit from intensive learning, opportunities to find placements at major companies, and a concentration on both academic skill and employability.
BENEFITS OF STUDYING NATURAL SCIENCES IN THE UK
Shorter courses: Most Master’s programs are only one year long. Students can obtain a degree in a shorter amount of time compared to studying in Latin America. Funding from Latin American countries for these subjects is also available.
Focus: UK universities do not require general education courses; students will be focusing on Natural Sciences from Day 1!
Employment opportunities: Many universities in the UK focus on having staff that are active in their fields, helping to provide an employability perspective and to generate learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Furthermore, many courses offer the opportunity to take on a placement, whether as an additional year on their degree or as a short-term opportunity during their degree. Either way, UK Natural Sciences students graduate with readiness to work.

Across The Pond partners with some of the top UK universities for art and design. Students in these programs experience world-class teaching and gain access to innovative techniques, outstanding facilities, and staff that are prevalent in their fields. UK universities take the term “practitioner” to heart—students pursuing art and design in the UK will find themselves both challenged and rewarded by the numerous creative opportunities inside and outside of the classroom.
BENEFITS OF STUDYING ART AND DESIGN IN THE UK
Shorter courses: Most Master’s programs are only one year long, and most undergraduate programs are only three years long.
MFA is available: While many students choose to pursue a one-year Master of Arts degree, an increasing number of UK university are offering the Master of Fine Arts.
Networking opportunities: Many universities in the UK focus on having staff that are active in their fields, helping to provide an employability perspective and to generate learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
The UK as classroom: The United Kingdom itself has inspired artists and designers for generations, and its universities have produced a number of successful alumni. Be one of them!

Why Study Societal Resilience?
How do we as a society cope with complex, collective problems such as climate change, terrorism, and rising healthcare costs? Societal Resilience is the capacity to survive, adapt and grow in the face of these stresses and shocks. In this multidisciplinary Research Master’s program, you will learn to analyze complex societal problems, but also how to collect, analyze and interpret big data, allowing you to collaborate with societal stakeholders to achieve sustainable solutions for societal issues.
Structure of the Program
In the first year, you will take introductory courses on current and future social problems and resilient responses, and on big and small data in social sciences. You will also get training in research methodology and data analysis. The second year revolves around an internship of 24 credits and a concluding thesis of 30 credits. The thesis is your own piece of social scientific research, and can also be used as a first scientific publication for a future PhD dissertation. In parallel to the courses, you will participate in a community of learners: attending workgroups on tutorials, discussions, and intervision, co-creating knowledge with fellow students and professors....

The official master's degree in Intelligence is an official degree of II livello (second level) of the Pegasus University of Italy, which gives access to the doctorate due to its adaptation and reception to the Bologna plan and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). With this master's degree, the student can choose a mention in Economic Intelligence or in Security and Defense, depending on the elective subjects that he chooses.
Although the need to know is an innate characteristic of the human being, as well as the need to anticipate events, the chaos derived from the complex reality in which we move requires a constant effort, usually imperceptible, to order such complexity, equipping itself with instruments that allow the decoding of existing information. This official master's degree of Intelligence makes us see in this way that the human being faces the real world and the information it contains through brain processes that allow ultimately transforming information - whether public or private - into knowledge....

The MLitt in Global Social and Political Thought is a one-year interdisciplinary Masters degree. It explores the history of social and political thought around the world and its influence in contemporary debates around identity, communication, governance, the economy, and diplomacy.
The MLitt Global Social and Political Thought is an interdisciplinary degree that explores the history of social and political ideas from ancient times to the present. The degree will develop your understanding of the history, nature, and practice of contemporary global politics and provide training in comparative analysis of history, philosophy, political economy, and international relations.
Degree structure and content helps students who may initially have limited direct experience in this field to develop advanced knowledge and understanding by means of carefully designed core modules.
Explores how knowledge is created, modified, and communicated in a digital era; how online identities and arguments are formed, used, and abused; and the nature of politics in an age of global online communications.
Transnational and comparative study of global traditions gives the degree a remarkable richness and depth compared with traditional political thought programmes.
Equips students for further study and research through training in the use and analysis of print, electronic, and unwritten sources; comparative analysis and cultural evaluation; and techniques such as sentiment analysis and topic modelling.

Digitalisation challenges social and health care activities as well as the way of thinking. A new approach to social and healthcare services means that the client/patient receives all information about him or her and is equally involved in the decision-making about his or her own care. Digitalisation does not, however, develop by itself but it requires multidisciplinary expertise to achieve commitment to change in the working life and to promote digitalisation actively. Digitalisation also offers possibilities for business intelligence. Health services in all EU countries have been available since the beginning of 2014, and digitalisation is introduced to add value to the cross-border services. The Master’s Degree in Digital Health provide the graduates with skills needed for innovative development of digital social and healthcare services, service production, expert organisation management and for the development of service quality and management. The studies also prepare the students for planning, implementing and evaluating the social welfare and health care reform in different operational environments....
