For our students not only to excel in their careers but also to shape the world, thinking innovatively is not enough; acting responsibly is the greater challenge. As proof of our commitment, HKBU was the first university in Hong Kong to join the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)and we also co-founded the World Business Ethics Forum (WBEF) with University of Macau. HKBU School of Business is based in one of the world’s most important financial centres and is strategically located to effectively address major global trade and business developments. Meanwhile, HKBU’s drive to internationalise the University involves initiatives on many fronts. Apart from a growing global network of partnerships that facilitate academic exchange and enhance research strengths, HKBU brings diverse perspectives from around the world to the campus to broaden students’ horizons.

The courses provided by HKBU feature a strong international dimension, equipping graduates with cross-cultural skills and perspectives to become competent citizens in a globalised world. HKBU School of Business has a network of over 250 partner universities from around the world, enabling hundreds of students to avail themselves of exchange programmes. HKBU also offers students an exceptional international learning experience through a series of programmes and internships training. On-Campus Postgraduate Housing

With a view to catering for the accommodation needs of non-local students, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offers student residences at Dr. Ng Tor Tai International House. Dr. Ng Tor Tai International House, located in the HKBU Campus, offers about 250 hostel spaces for non-local students. It is a unique community wherein students from different cultures and backgrounds are living together as fellow hall mates. Mutual respect and tolerance to difference and diversity in the community are highly valued and harmony is the characteristic of the student residence.

Off-campus Housing Alternatives

Apart from the accommodation provided by the University, students may choose to rent private properties from the property market. The most effective way to locate suitable rental properties is to visit property agents. Students may need to enter into a tenancy agreement with the private property owner if he/she decides to rent a flat.

    HKBU School of Business offers a wide variety of entrance and merit scholarships to international students to honour their outstanding achievements, in which the scholarships are designed to help the School bring together talent from around the world and maximise diversity. Some of the scholarships offer allowances up to full tuition fee waiver plus living allowance for studying in Hong Kong. Competition for scholarships increases as the year progresses, so the School recommends all applicants to start their application early.

    International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS)

    HKBU School of Business is dedicated to student success across the world. The International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS) are merit awards for postgraduate international students with all-round excellence admitted to designate full-time postgraduate programmes. Recipients will receive a full tuition fee waiver and a living allowance of approx. US$12,820.

    Diversity Contribution Scholarship

    Diversity Contribution Scholarship is attributed to new entrants who can enhance the diversity of the programmes based on criteria such as the applicants’ international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievement and talents. The scholarship amount ranges from a fixed one-off amount to full tuition fee waiver.

    Entrance Award / Admission Scholarships

    The Entrance Award / Admission Scholarships offer financial support to new entrants with distinguishing qualifications as well as good interview performance.

    Graduation Academic Awards / Merit-based Awards

    The Graduation Academic Awards / Merit-based Awards reward students for their academic achievements in their programme at the time of graduation.

    Admission Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

    Various scholarships have been established to reward outstanding local and non-local students to study in the BBA (Hons) programme.

    General facilities, which all students can use, include a well-stocked library, the University’s own sports centres and several coffee shops and restaurants dotting the campus. Moreover, HKBU School of Business offers state-of-the art facilities, some of which are reserved exclusively for business students. These include Bloomberg Laboratory, Datastream Laboratory, Behavioral Research Laboratory, Simulated Trading Laboratory, Computer Laboratories and Learning Corner.

    HKBU School of Business fosters a strong culture of excellence in both research and teaching, pursuing lines of scholarly inquiry that complement and enhance instruction. Extensive extracurricular opportunities such as overseas exchanges, local or overseas internships, service learning and language enhancement programmes are offered to nurture students as all-round business leaders.

    Moreover, HKBU offers a wide array of activities, academic societies, student interest clubs, Student Union, and a postgraduate association. The Office of Student Affairs also provides great support to students for organising activities or counselling.     Outside the HKBU campus, the city of Hong Kong also has a lot to offer. Known to most as a “Concrete Jungle”, Hong Kong is famed for its skyscrapers, tower-studded cityscape and breathtaking night view. Yet, more than 70% of Hong Kong’s total area is rural, including about 40% designated as protected country parks. This is the perfect place where one gets to experience both the vibrant city life and the relaxing gems of nature.
