What is a Grande Ecole?
The Grandes Écoles in France are higher education Institutions operating alongside the French university system. Most of them are partly or privately run. They select their students for admission through competitive written and oral exams. They provide a high standard of education to future elite managers. About 230 are members of Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE), a non-profit organization that brings together engineering and business schools, of which only 39 deliver a Grade de Master degree, the best degree for business schools.
