Curriculum
Program Concentrations
The Global Entertainment and Music Business program provides students with three different program options that delve into the major areas of the music industry: record labels, live entertainment, and entrepreneurship. These options give students a comprehensive understanding of the various career paths available in the music industry and allow them to apply their knowledge to practical projects, focusing on the area of music that interests them the most.
- Record Label Concentration: Berklee Valencia's record label, Disrupción Records, offers students a unique opportunity to learn about the record industry. Students in this concentration scout and sign artistic talent, develop the talent, manage recording and production processes, arrange global distribution, and execute innovative release and marketing campaigns. Disrupción Records offers students a comprehensive experience in all aspects of record label functions, helping them to advance their careers in the record industry and related areas of the music business. Graduates of this concentration have gone on to work for Universal Music Group, Altafonte, the Orchard, Sony Music, and more.
- Live Entertainment Concentration: In this concentration, students work closely with other programs to organize live concerts, music festivals, conferences, and other events. They gain skills in production, programming, budgeting, promotion, booking, and logistics and have participated in events such as INOCON, the DIY European Conference, Berklee a Les Arts, and completed micro-internships at Serious Fan Music, Haldern Pop Festival, and NYBAC Media. Graduates of this concentration are now employed at companies such as Live Nation, Arrival Artists, and Superfly.
- Entrepreneurship Concentration: Students in this concentration learn how to build, craft, and create their own businesses, developing their own business ideas into reality. Graduates of this concentration have gone on to work at companies such as Auras Studios, Paperchain, the Anahad Foundation, and Kumo Records.

Regardless of their concentration, students can choose any elective from the Global Entertainment and Music Business program.

Through the culminating experience, students make a creative contribution to, and/or define and solve a problem that exists in, the profession. It is a major part of the master's program, and represents the educational journey students take throughout the year. Projects take shape and evolve throughout all three semesters, and the final presentation can be a research project, a creative work, or a practical project.
