Colorado State University Walter Scott Jr College of Engineering

Environmental Engineering has had its own identity since about 1900 as a branch of civil engineering. Initially called, Sanitary Engineering, it has been practiced by civil engineers since about 1850 when the public health movement became institutionalized. Sewerage and water supply were the main activities during this early period, largely as hydraulic design problems.

Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering

A coursework only program for advancement in the biomedical engineering industry. Our Master of Engineering degree is a 30-credit coursework only degree program. The curriculum is divided into four different categories: core, foundation, depth, and breadth. The core and foundation courses are designed to develop a foundation in biomedical engineering. The depth courses allow students to gain more knowledge in a particular interest area while the breadth courses focus on advanced or applied mathematics.

Master of Engineering

Materials Science Engineering studies the use, properties, functions, and characterization of materials to address complex issues of efficiency, sustainability, cost and equity. Material scientists combine physics, chemistry, math, engineering, merchandising, and many other fields to create novel materials.
