De La Salle Bajio University
Introduction
The De La Salle Bajío University was founded by Dr. Manuel de Jesús Álvarez Campos, Brother of the Christian Schools, a man of iron will, and an apostolic and visionary educator. His commitment to young people for education inspired the project to expand the educational work of the Brothers so that it would respond to the needs of Higher Education.
This is how, being Director of the preparatory section of the Colegio Cristóbal Colón in Mexico City, he founded La Salle University (ULSA) in 1962. Brother Manuel served as Rector of ULSA until 1968, the year in which his Superiors did so. they moved to León, Gto. to direct the La Salle College in this city.
