Introduction
Choose Master of Cybersecurity at LaTrobe
Cybercrime is a widespread threat and a mainstream concern that can only be combated by highly skilled specialists – but they’re currently in short supply. A report from La Trobe’s industry partner Cisco states there are currently an estimated one million cybersecurity job openings globally. This demand is projected to increase to six million by 2019, with an expected shortfall of 1.5 million.
Our cybersecurity degrees have been created by industry, for the industry, and will prepare you to combat large-scale illegal activity and its increasing levels of sophistication. La Trobe is a member of the Victorian Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC), a hub for cybersecurity activities funded by the Victorian Government.
With digital technology informing almost every facet of our lives, cybercrime is no longer just a computer problem. That’s the insight at the heart of La Trobe’s Master of Cybersecurity program. Throughout, you'll learn from cybersecurity experts who draw from their own experiences and use real-world case studies to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
This suite of degrees addresses the critical shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals while giving you the chance to approach cybersecurity from three distinct perspectives:
- Master of Cybersecurity (Business Operations)
- Master of Cybersecurity (Computer Science)
- Master Cybersecurity (Law)
