McMurry University

Introduction

Welcome to McMurry University's Walter F. and Virginia Johnson School of Business, and the Master of Accountancy degree. Now recruiting for our fourth year, we have developed a synchronous online master's degree that students can take from anywhere in the world. However, we believe in synchronous learning as the best avenue for developing the skills to become a CPA (certified public accountant) in the United States. We offer classes early in the morning (Central Time) and in the evening to provide the classroom experience without the travel, commuting, and physical presence.

Employers are looking for employees and managers who know how to think. CPA firms are no different. They are looking for people who are technically savvy, recognize issues, and solve problems, all of which are also important abilities for business leaders to have in this changing economic climate. You will consider global, social, legal, and ethical issues, and acquire a skill set that is highly sought after. Your curiosity will help you make the connection between classroom discussions and practical application in real business situations.
