Introduction
Mission and goals
The Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) program in Energy Engineering aims to prepare technicians able to actively follow and influence technological developments, working effectively in a competitive and multi-disciplinary industrial context. Various application sectors can be identified within the program, such as the Production and conversion of different forms of energy, Civil and industrial thermomechanics, and the hydrocarbon sector focussed on the oil and gas industry. In Milano Bovisa Campus the program foresees a track taught in English. In Piacenza Campus, a particular program delivered in English is available which offers an overall view of the various technical issues related to Renewables and Environmental Sustainability:
Double Degree
Students of the Laurea Magistrale programme in Energy Engineering can apply to HySET (Hydrogen Systems and Enabling Technologies). HySET is a two-year double degree programme, dedicated to the hydrogen supply chain and organized in cooperation with other European universities. Please note that you need to submit a separate application for HySET Double Degree. Check the deadlines and procedures by getting in contact with the university.

Program Outcome
To graduate 120 credits are required. Activities necessary to acquire these credits are detailed in this Teaching Regulations: they deal with the most advanced and innovative issues in the energy industry, after a necessary exploration of educational aspects in related disciplines. The degree thesis is an integral part of the programme in which the graduation candidate autonomously explores in depth an energy-related issue with the most innovative and R&D-oriented methodologies possible.

Career Opportunities
Career Opportunities
Graduates find employment in numerous industrial sectors, including industries producing and distributing energy; companies designing and managing thermal, thermal-electric, air-conditioning, and refrigeration plant; energy management in companies or institutions with production purposes very different from those of producing energy. The engineer with a Laurea Magistrale can access research and development activities as well as those related to the analysis and design phases of large plants, innovative processes, and development of technologically advanced machinery and components.
