Télécom Paris is the French leading school in digital technologies. The school provides its graduates with the skills they need to innovate and undertake in a world where digital technology is omnipresent.

The school is a founding member of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, a world-class science and technology research and education institution uniting 5 schools: École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis.

Télécom Paris is also a member of the Institut Mines Télécom (IMT).

The French leading school in digital technologies

Telecom Paris is the leading engineering school in the digital field, and second engineering school in France for three years running in the Étudiant rankings. In 2020/2021, the Times Higher Education had ranked Télécom Paris 6th best small university in the world. Our school is now listed under the IP Paris umbrella. As such, it is ranked 8th young university in the world (THE - 2023). IP Paris has reached the 38th worldwide position and is ranked 10th worldwide for employer reputation in the QS WUR 2024.

Our main fields cover: data science and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mathematical modeling, image and signal processing, digital innovation, machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), very large networks and systems, cloud and quantum computing, 5G and 6G mobile networks, blockchain, embedded systems and telecommunications.

Recognized as an outstanding research unit, its research covers the entire digital technology spectrum: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Very Large Networks and Systems, Digital Trust, Design-interactions-perception (real-virtual), Mathematical modeling, Digital innovation.

Télécom Paris offers a highly competitive engineering degree, masters programs, PhD programs, post-master's degrees, certifications and short programs in digital fields. The masters and PhD programs are now part of the extensive range of programs offered by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

Télécom Paris' students enjoy a 5 to 1 student to professor ratio. They study in small classes and get individual attention from all our Professors and Researchers.

An international focus

With one of the highest rates of international students among French engineering schools, Télécom Paris offers both students and professors a rich international working and study environment. International students account for 45% of the students on our campus. They are coming from 40 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe.

    Télécom Paris is located on the Paris Saclay campus 20 km South-West of Paris. Before or after classes, a rich and varied student life awaits students, thanks to the dynamism of the many student associations on our new campus.

    Student associations

    Over 40 clubs and associations offer a large variety of activities coordinated by the Student Union. The Union organizes many integration activities and weekend trips with a special focus on international students’ interests.

    Students also take part in many cultural, musical, social, and business events: theater, film festival, dance courses, concerts, sustainable development, Internship, and Employment forum, digital network/robotics/programming clubs.

    Festive activities are also a major asset of Télécom Paris student life with events such as the French regional cuisine day, the international food forum, the many contests, parties, etc.

    Sport activities

    Sports are an important part of student life at Télécom Paris. One free afternoon per week enables students to practice. They may choose among 15 disciplines including badminton, gym, handball, sailing, tennis, volleyball, rugby.

    Accommodation

    Student housing is available close to the campus or in Paris (Cité Universitaire). Télécom Paris has agreed upon partnerships with public or private providers to be able to provide affordable accommodation. A dedicated assistance team helps students secure the best accommodation for their studies at Télécom Paris.

      Admissions

      Master of Science in Engineering (Diplôme d'ingénieur)

      Our Master of Science in Engineering is open to international students who hold a scientific Bachelor’s degree or are enrolled in the last year of their undergraduate studies.

      If you are studying in a non partner university, you may apply to our Engineering program throughthe Institut Polytechnique de Paris common entrance exam from March till September 7th for the following year intake.

      Upon your previous studies, our Jury will decide if you follow a 24-month or 36-month program (you will then enter either in the 1st or 2nd year).

      • Initial selection is primarily based on the applicants’ academic background, statement of purpose, and reference letters.
      • Entrance exam: After the initial selection, shortlisted candidates will be contacted to take exams in French or in English. The program pertains to the skills and knowledge considered necessary to succeed in a French engineering program. For further information about IP Paris entrance exam

      NB: If you are studying at a partner university, contact your university outgoing student coordinator. If you are enrolled in a scientific preparatory class (CGPE) abroad, you can take the competitive entrance exam for the Mines-Ponts engineering schools before mid-January, and find out more from your teachers.

      Masters and PhD-Track degrees

      Apply through the Institut Polytechnique de Paris common application procedure.

      Post-Masters' degrees

      Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to five years of higher education: a MSc or MBA in engineering, computer science or applied mathematics. They may as well hold a Bachelor’s degree (4 years of study) and have at least 3 years of professional experience. Apply directly online.

      Merit-based and need-based scholarships are awarded to international students by the French Government, your home country, the European Union, and other authorities:
