At TUM School of Management, we carry out teaching and research at the intersection of management, engineering, natural and life sciences. Located in the heart of Munich, a thriving city in one of Germany’s most prosperous regions, we enjoy an academic, cultural and economic infrastructure that attracts talents from all over the world.

Since its foundation in 2002, the faculty has been engaged in a broad range of research projects that bridge the gap between disciplines. Our research focuses on future trends and real-world solutions that advance innovation-based businesses and benefit society at large.

Our highly motivated, international student body, as well as the cooperation with renowned universities and management schools worldwide guarantee a global perspective, while industry know-how is brought into our programs through strong collaboration with our corporate partners. Accreditations

AACSB International

The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) is the world’s largest business education alliance. AACSB Accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest standing, a most recognized form of specialized/ professional accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.

EFMD Equis

TUM School of Management was awarded the EQUIS accreditation by the EFMD in 2017. EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration.

Association of MBA's

In 2015, the Association of MBAs (AMBA) certified that evidence-based management knowledge meets industry expertise within our three Executive MBA programs.

International Networks

TEM

In 2016 TUM School of Management entered the Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management network (QTEM), which is an international network bringing together excellent students, Academic Partners, and International Corporations.

The QTEM Master’s program is open to outstanding students enrolled at one of the QTEM Academic Partner Institutions.

Global Business School Network

In 2016 TUM School of Management joined the Global Business School Network (GBSN). The GBSN is a network of renowned business schools, industry, foundations, and aid agencies, which aims to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world. The network fosters cross-border networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration both within the network membership and with the broader business education and development communities.

    no. 1 - “WirtschaftsWoche Ranking 2019″: TUM School of Management is the top university among German-speaking universities and the second from top overall for business research. In addition to that Prof. Helmut Krcmar was awarded as the best business researcher.

    no. 1 - In 2018, TUM School of Management was recognized as the best German business school in the Worldwide Business Research Rankings published by Korea University Business School.

    no. 3 - In 2014 TUM School of Management was listed third among all German-speaking universities in the ranking by “Handelsblatt“, Germany’s leading financial newspaper.

    20 of 135 - QS World University Rankings: In 2019 TUM School of Management placed 20th out of 135 universities in the worldwide Master in Management Rankings.

    11 of 12 - In the 2017 CHE ranking, TUM School of Management scored three top rankings for research and achieved top positions in 11 of the 12 student-rated categories.

    no. 3 and 9 - FT Master in Management Ranking: Also in 2018 TUM School of Management scored two top ten rankings for Master in Management in the subjects Entrepreneurship (9th place) and Industry/Manufacturing (3rd place).
