We are organized in three campi located in different islands (Ponta Delgada campus is in S. Miguel Island; Angra do Heroísmo campus is in Terceira and Horta campus is in Faial).
Inspired in the natural biodiversity and beauty of the islands, in their geographic location and geological features, we are committed to creating and promoting knowledge and technology on biodiversity, volcanology, tourism, marine and transnational issues, history and cultural features of the islands.
Our universal values and long history of emigration favor partnerships with more than 500 universities and research centers all over the world.

"I had a good experience in the first semester. I enjoyed the warm weather, the green fields and the University campus. The residence was great as people who lived there, and I enjoyed staying with half Portuguese and half foreign students. I had very good teachers who were always available to help me and good classmates. I had a good time riding on the island and hiking every weekend. I played in the football league of the University. I hope the 2nd semester will be as good as the 1st."
Maria Romero Cuesta, Spain
