Introduction

The Master in Eating Disorders and Obesity is an official university degree that will equip you with the theoretical-practical knowledge and professional skills required in this specialization in healthcare environments from different clinical and research perspectives.

The master's degree, lasting 9 months and 60 ECTS, will allow you to develop in the field of the clinical and research profession. You will learn from a top-level faculty, and you will be in permanent contact with outpatient and hospital units specialized in eating disorders and with the guidance of a clinical tutor.

Training focused on the diagnosis, treatment and research of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and other unspecified atypical disorders, as well as obesity.

  • The program will allow you to develop in the field of the clinical and research profession:
  • Clinic: by treating and participating in the diagnosis and intervention with patients with ED symptoms and clinical profile, which will allow you to increase your employability as a therapist in this area
  • Researcher: you will learn first-hand how research on eating disorders and obesity is developed

  • You will carry out your practices with real patients in reference centers in the TCA intervention
  • Niño Jesús University Hospital, Madrid. (Children-Youth Area of ED and Obesity)
  • Santa Cristina University Hospital, Madrid. (Adults and chronically ill area)
  • 300 hours of clinical practice: in reference centers such as the Infanta Cristina Hospital and the Niño Jesús Hospital
  • In your internship you will be permanently guided by a clinical tutor specialized in this type of disorders, where you will be able to work directly with real cases, knowing their personal, family and social situation and intervening directly in their care, attention and treatment.
  • You will have a teaching staff that stands out for its extensive professional experience in the different areas in which psychology is developed and in the different sectors of the population (children, adolescents, adults, family, couples, old age...)
