By completing this one-year programme in Master of Energy Engineering Technology (MSc) (60 ECTS) you gain advanced scientific and technical knowledge and insights into the sustainable production of energy, the efficiency of energy conversion, the optimization of energy storage, and the intelligent management of various energy systems. Your training will be hands-on with attention to entrepreneurial and communication skills. You will have access to the state-of-the-art lab facilities of EnergyVille. A broad package of elective courses permits you to compile your study programme according to your fields of interest and the competencies you wish to develop further.
The programme is a joint initiative of the Faculties of Engineering Technology of Hasselt University and KU Leuven University at the Diepenbeek campus in Belgium.

University campus in Diepenbeek
The interactive lectures and small group sessions take place on the university campus in Diepenbeek.
Research campus EnergyVille in Genk
Our professors introduce you to the latest findings of their research through several lab activities and projects in the innovative facilities of EnergyVille, the hometown of our energy-related research groups in the city of Genk.
EnergyVille is known for its groundbreaking renewable energy research combining the expertise of four renowned partners – KU Leuven, VITO, imec en UHasselt. What makes EnergyVille unique is the exceptional synergy between the research partners, allowing them to seamlessly integrate every aspect of the energy system value chain. From materials and components to complete energy systems, business models and strategic initiatives. The research is organized in close collaboration with the industry and divided into eight interdisciplinary areas, each representing a critical piece of the puzzle.
Both campuses are easy accessible by bus, car and bike.
