Introduction
The Master in Anthropology, created in 2018, is an academic and face-to-face program, with an emphasis on scientific research aimed at forming advanced and excellent human capital. It is aimed at training new generations of anthropologists, through advanced studies in the disciplines of social anthropology and archeology. The program awards a Master's degree in Anthropology.
The program has a multidisciplinary study plan and includes the possibility of taking complementary subjects within and outside the discipline. It encourages the thematic variety of research to be carried out even though it is suggested to take advantage of the advantages provided by the trajectory and specialization of the teaching body, as well as the particularities of the program's social space.
The South Central Andean area contains a rich scientific problem in the fields of anthropology, archeology, and socio-historical studies, which deserves to be approached multidisciplinary and in a multinational context.
The vocation of internationalization of the program is also manifested in the presence of invited professors from neighboring countries and in the incorporation of students from these same countries. Thus, the studies are carried out in a multinational environment, with a view to developing interregional collaborative research projects of a comparative nature.
The graduate of the program will be able to creatively face the problems of anthropology, in the fields of social anthropology and archeology; have a holistic and up-to-date vision of anthropological knowledge; be prepared to elaborate and develop multidisciplinary scientific projects; and will possess the knowledge and capacities to function in the field of research, teaching and/or professional performance in social action and planning activities, from an updated theoretical, technical and methodological perspective.
