Introduction
This Master in Translation programme equips graduates for careers in the translation and localisation industry, as well as international organisations and institutions. Through practical translation exercises, translation company simulations, collaborative projects and the possibility of a summer placement, students will gain hands-on experience and develop the professional skills required for successful careers in diverse translation fields.

Program Outcome
On successful completion of the Masters in Translation, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of translation techniques and strategies across a variety of genres and subject areas.
- Show insight into the complexities of translation, including linguistic nuances, cultural subtleties, and ethical considerations.
- Critically analyse translation challenges and make informed translation decisions.
- Show a deep understanding of cultural contexts and produce translations that are culturally sensitive and contextually appropriate.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical and technological aspects of the translation profession and how Machine Translation and generative AI might impact the profession in years to come.
- Demonstrate proficiency in project management, including time management, resource allocation, and task coordination to meet deadlines.
