The Master of Business Administration / Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering is offered as a dual-degree, administered jointly by the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and the School of Management.

Whatever function you work in, skills and knowledge in areas such as corporate finance; financial markets; financial accounting. Physics elucidates the basic laws of nature that govern the vast range from the microscopic world of atoms and electrons to the universe. In this course curriculum, you will learn physics in order from the basics. In addition to sophisticated lecture subjects, we will proceed with learning while checking the contents of the lectures in experimental subjects and practice subjects. The main subjects are mathematics, mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and the theory of relativity, which are necessary for physics. Based on these, we will understand the structure of elementary particles and the universe and the properties of matter.

We have classes that teach basic concepts in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistries, followed by advanced classes for organic and inorganic materials chemistry, organic and inorganic synthetic chemistry, catalyst chemistry, and electrochemistry. In addition, we place an emphasis on hands-on training under laboratory conditions in addition to classroom teaching to experience and analyze various chemical processes.

The Master of Science in Sustainability programme is a two-year programme, which provides students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to contribute to solving challenges of sustainability. Drawing on an innovative, interdisciplinary approach, the programme integrates methods and resources from the natural and social sciences, as well as the humanities. The programme is intended for recent graduates, professionals and practitioners who seek to meaningfully contribute to the work of governments, civil society, the private sector, and/or the UN and other international organizations in the area of sustainability. The programme builds on UNU’s strong record in research and capacity development, as well as the extensive network of scholars and academic institutions participating in UNU research. The programme is practice-oriented, user-focused, and of the highest academic quality. It provides students with unique opportunities to interact with leading scholars and policymakers through lectures, international conferences, and workshops.

Learning economics requires a habit of quantitatively grasping logical thinking and the actual state of the economy. In order to acquire this ability and custom, we will focus on basic subjects of economics that cultivate economic thinking and mathematical subjects such as mathematics and statistics, and then finance/finance, international trade, and economic development, Students will study specialized subjects to theoretically and empirically analyze urban issues such as housing and transportation, and economic issues facing modern society such as medical care, pensions, and environmental issues. In the Field of Health and Sports, we provide education and research on human science, social science, and natural science involved in sports and exercises. We reinforce the scientific base of health and sports through research on methodological problems in sport science, and at the same time, we train highly skilled professionals who will coordinate sports and exercises in a multidisciplinary manner. In addition, we conduct research on kinematics in physical training, health education, and coach training.

The department offers clinical psychology programs for those who wish to pursue a career in that field. The Sports and Health Science Master's Program offered by the Graduate School of Sports and Health Science provides the sports-related major (which consists of courses in the sports science and applied sports science areas) and the health-related major (which consists of courses in the health science and health information science areas) and conducts cross-sectional and interdisciplinary education and research regarding sports, physical activities, health, and medical care. Based on the above, and as the goal of its education and research, the program aims to produce teachers with a broad perspective and high-level knowledge and skills who have senshuu-menkyo jo (a specialized teacher's license that requires a master's degree), specialized instructors in their respective fields, and professionals.

This program is conducted at a graduate school certified by the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists. The curriculum also allows students to take the courses necessary to obtain certification as a certified psychologist. This program trains capable clinical psychologists and Certified Public Psychologists who can provide appropriate psychological support and conduct research in various areas such as “public health,” “welfare services,” “education,” Studies in Clinical Psychology“law & crime,” and “industry & labor” in the future. Students will study various therapy techniques such as psychoanalytic psychotherapy, client-centered therapy, analytical psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy, and they will learn through practice in a number of cases under a system of close supervision. In addition, a major feature of this program is its system of postgraduate school education. This program fosters personnel with a dynamic perspective who are proficient in psychotherapy and projective tests. Moreover, graduates have a roughly 100% rate of employment, and about 95% of previous graduates have been certified as clinical psychologists.

bioengineering is the field in which the organisms find and dexterous functions such as recognition, transmission, movement, and biosynthesis are investigated, and its outcome is employed for practical applications. Bioengineering major has been established to train students as high-leveled established engineers or researchers who are experts in the basics and application of biology-related sciences. Courses offered are planned to provide knowledge in wide areas of both basics and applications.

By providing a specialized grounding in mathematics, physics, and informatics, this division seeks to develop professionals with high-level expertise capable of working in diverse fields in a highly information-based society and researchers with a fundamental grounding in interdisciplinary areas of research. Earning a degree from this division requires being enrolled in the program for the prescribed number of years, earning the prescribed number of credits, and acquiring the knowledge and abilities below in accordance with the personal development goals of the division, followed by undergoing a thesis examination and passing a final exam. Students completing this division's program will receive a Master of Science degree.
