Introduction

Welcoming the world to learn and succeed

University Centre Grimsby and Grimsby Institute belong the Grimsby Institute Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of Further and Higher Education, located in the historic town of Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

Grimsby has a long history as a thriving fishing port, with café bars, pubs and restaurants and, within a few miles, you'll find countryside and the sandy beaches and traditional seaside fun of Cleethorpes, close to busy cities; Lincoln, York and Hull, which are all perfect for shopping and cultural attractions such as museums and theatres.

As well as being a very friendly and affordable place to live and study, you'll have plenty to see and do in Grimsby. A few minutes walk from the campus you'll find our high-quality residential buildings. Our excellent range of Further and Higher Education courses are delivered in well-resourced teaching facilities.

We will help you achieve your successes and goals and provide plenty of support – both in and out of the classroom.

Courses

We have a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for international students. It is important that we help you choose a course that is exactly right for you so that we can ensure you have a perfect and enjoyable overseas study experience. To be eligible for a Tier 4 Student Visa the course you apply for must be full-time and be at minimum Level 3 on the national qualification framework.

How to Apply

If you are an international student, wanting to apply for a course at the Grimsby Institute or University Centre Grimsby you will need to follow a strict set of instructions, particularly if you are a non-EU citizen and require a Visa to study in the UK.

From the day you apply, we will be in regular contact via email to let you know the progress of your application. Once your application has been accepted and you have received your official documents we will support you with advice throughout your Visa process.

On receiving a valid Student Visa you will then make your travel arrangements and keep us informed. Should you have any questions or concerns at any point we are here to help at any time and in any way we can. This is the time when we can arrange accommodation within our Halls of Residence.
